The issue features a story “The Blood of Bel-Hissar!” written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by John Buscema and Ernie Chan. In this issue, Conan is hired by a group of merchants to escort them through the desert to the city of Akif. Along the way, they are attacked by a group of bandits led by a man named Bel-Hissar. Conan and the merchants are taken captive and brought to Bel-Hissar’s stronghold. Conan faces off against a giant snake.  Used.
