Batman Legends of the Dark Knight #17 is a comic book published by DC Comics in April 1991. The issue is titled “Venom: Part 2” and is written by Dennis O’Neil, with Trevor von Eeden as the penciler, Russell Braun as the inker, and Steve Oliff as the colorist.

In this issue, Batman becomes addicted to the strength pills he took in the previous issue. He continues to take the pills to keep up with the demands of his crime-fighting duties, but the side effects of the drug begin to take their toll on him. Meanwhile, the villainous Bane is introduced, who is also using the drug to enhance his strength. Batman and Bane eventually cross paths, leading to a brutal fight between the two. The issue ends with Batman being defeated by Bane and left broken and paralyzed.  Used.
