A good dark roast should be bold and complex. Do you know what else is bold and complex? Whitewater. The Katahdin region of Maine is known for having some of the best whitewater on the east coast. The final rapid of the Gorge, is generally considered the toughest regularly run rapid in New England. Its powerful, churning waters take a turn in the middle of the run with the final chute looking like the maw of a mythological beast about to swallow you whole.
