A beautiful, framed watercolor on paper signed Anthony Thieme (1884-1954). "Along The Water's Edge" Measures 11" Height by 16 3/4" Width for the Image and 21 3/4 by 26 3/4 inches for the frame. 

Anthony Thieme was a prominent American artist known for his Impressionist paintings of landscapes and seascapes. Born in the Netherlands in 1888, Thieme immigrated to the United States in 1909 and settled in New York City. He studied at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design, where he honed his skills as a painter. Thieme eventually made his way to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where he found inspiration in the natural beauty of the coastal scenery. His vibrant and colorful paintings captured the essence of the ocean, beaches, and charming fishing villages of Cape Cod.

Thieme established himself as a successful artist, with his works being exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States. His Impressionist style, characterized by loose brushwork and a lively use of color, garnered him critical acclaim and a loyal following of collectors. Thieme's paintings are known for their ability to evoke a sense of tranquility and capture the fleeting moments of light and atmosphere in the natural world. His legacy as a master of Impressionism continues to be celebrated by art enthusiasts today, with his works fetching high prices at auctions and remaining in prestigious private collections.  Used.
